You can get them on ebay for around 50. Definately do not pay 150. I own a S3000XL myself which i bought for 54 or so. S3000XL's are generally very easy to get hold of on ebay.

just use the samplers in reason! i had 2 x s3000xl's back in 96, i paid 1200 each for them. to me the nnxt samplers in reason are exactly same the way they work and set out, apart from you get as much sample time as you want in the nnxt and they also got all the filters witch you dont get standard with the s3000, plus you can have as many as you want in reason. the list goes on.

Software samplers have many advancements over Hardware for sure, but in my case i like the sound that the sampler imparts. Technically speaking it's a bad thing yet to me it sounds more musical.
