As far as i know some were originally 80's Eurobeat and Italo disco. When it was actually called Eurodance i dont know, its usually said that Eurodance started from early 90's. but e.g. Cappella has made music from late 80's to early 90's.
Somewhere between those tunes it became eurodance :P
EDIT: oh and i would say this tune from '92. Not the first, but it was probably the biggest hit since its time and highly popularised Eurodance:

In a select countries yes, but not in the extenct that No Limit was IMO. Also No Limit is the type of eurodance that became popular. That other tune isnt. Though its hard to draw straight lines when were talking about music.

What was the first ever hands-up tune? I love that good old cheesiness leaking from each riff, it's so easy to get into. I know that evolved out of Eurodance but what would you say is the first tune?

and get ready for this and no limit were very popular in the US, but overall i think no limit is defintely their most successful track. it hit #1 in a lot of countries. seems like every year after the duo split there was a new remix of No Limits coming out.
the duo have come back together as Ray & Anita and have a more electro-house sound now.
