Im having problems getting my kick drum rolls ( the sort that build up to a fast tempo taking off ) to sound convincing. Im using cubase 5 .The ones im coming up with sound too fast , and not right.I dont suppose anyone could post an example of one in piano roll format ( only an example of course,i think i must be making the beats too long /short or not getting the spacing right . I have a cracked copy of virtual dj 6.6 for anyone kind enough to help...

layer the kicks with snares
make sure the ADSR envelope is tight enough (fast attack)
that should be enough for it to sound good
