Lately, when I've been clicking on topics on this forum sometimes my internet has crashed. This has not happened before since yesterday so I suspect it might be my antivirus AVG but it has never acted like this when I've had it previously, and this is the only site where this happens.
It's quite frustrating, as you might imagine, anyone got any tips or solutions?

try avast, my mother has it (i'm on a mac) and since 3 years, no virus, ever !
also, try to see if it's a trojan (but i don't think i could be this)
or maybe it is just that your Internet access provider who is repairing a part of his network
mine is doing it all the time, i have to call them to have my internet again, maybe avery months
at worst, you should install windows again
did you download anything during the past few year ? illegal or legal, it doesn't matter, because a viruse can be on every file, or did you used msn ?

AVG is good, been using it for 2 years and I'm happy!
I bought Win7 1½ week ago so I don't think it's that, like I said everything works fine except that sometimes this site disconnects me. My AVG scans everyday (scheduled) and there are no infections or trojans. Hmmm...
The troubleshooter says "Standard Gateway is not available" when I troubleshoot to be able to reconnect. Any clues?
Gonna see if the problem persists... Seems to be a bit random.

Nothing to do with our site a website in short can't crash your PC. Perhaps you need to update your brower, flash or something?

hello, i have a router that also does this. This forum, and only this forum, for some strange unknown reason, kills my router lol
I don't know what causes it, and it doesn't always happen and i haven't found a fix for it yet either
The router in question is a Belkin 54G Cable Router. This pile of shit is designed for gaming and just dies under heavy load.
Same as urs?
