why is it that every1 on this site insults people who like other music genres besides happy hardcore?
I like a lot of music,happy hardcore(obviously),hard trance,hard house,hip hop...and everytime i try and talk about these other genres in any way i get slagged off.
fair enough,happy hardcore is fantastic but dont you think its about time we dismantled the barriers between genres?

When I first joined the board there was a topic on what other styles of music you like and no one got slagged off but if you can't stand people slagging you off for liking hard house or trance just remember the last time you told someone who didn't like/or no of happycore how they usually take it!!!!!!
If I say to someone I like Hip-Hop or something there like thats ok but when I say my favourite style of music is happyhardcore then the slagging off begins hahaha.

i couldnt give a shit about what others think about my music tastes. i am who i am and i listen to what I WANT to listen to, if others dont like it, its their problem, i know hardcore is the number 1 music on the planet, but i also love trance, hard house, hard dance etc. but hardcore is my 1 tru love and always will be, regardless of other peoples opinions!!!

maybe i haven't been thorough enough when i browse the forums, but i haven't seen that much actual slagging-off of other genres. it's mainly just people expressing their opinion on music ... although i gotta say, a few people on this board are a bit too eager to jump on anyone who says they *don't* like a hhc song, especially if it's a so-called 'classic'.

why should you care what other people think? no two people hardly ever think alike, so music styles are going to be appreciated differently...

I think that too much criticism is aimed at other music genres, & as someone who lives for hardcore yet enjoys every other music genre (other than opera)a helluva lot too, I understand why because when I tell someone I love hardcore they then laugh at or ridicule me, & I used to react by then slating their type of music, I think peoples reactions to other music genres is a way of dealing with this.
Personally, I know just wait until I have them in my trap (flat) & play "gentler" stuff just after Hardcore or ScouseHouse & they dont notice & as soon as they enjoy a tune tell them what they're listening to!

i love every type of music, from "classical" to jazz, rock, metal, all kinds of electronica, hiphop and everything in between. (everything except country)
i personally do not tolerate any form of slagging off of my musical tastes, and you shouldn't either. anyone who criticises other's taste in music is an ignorant bigot and worthy of being ignored.
that being said, go to most of the other electronica sites on the net and make a post about happy hardcore and watch them flame!
drugs is not the answer... drugs? is the question... yes is the answer

I was just thinking the same thing today! I remember this one topic of some guy doing an online show, and he said the first hour is trance and the rest if happy hardcore.... and all people said was "Oh.. well if the first hour is trance, then I'm not gonna listen.." come on! More happy hardcore is turning into fast trance and you wont listen to a station because the first hour is trance? Ugh... =_=

^^ I said that because Trance is complete crap. It's not so much that i don't like the actual sound it's just that i's so damn repetative and boring. I also think that about many other genres, but I won't go into that...

Yeah, everyone slags off garage. I ain't a big fan of trance but slagging it off will get you no where so I just keep quiet.

It is to do with the incredible amount of passion Hardcore Ravers have for the music. Too much passion can blind though.........

i think that this site is callled happyhardcore.com therefore only happy hardcore should be spoken about and not trance, thats y i u have a trance forum :)
