More than half of people on here will say most every genre sucks if its not edm. Even though every genre has good and bad. I could say this rap song is good, but a lot of you guys will say its shit without even bothering to listen to the song.
So i have a question.
Why are you guys such pricks about other genres?

have you even read the what other genres do you listen to threads???
easily 90% of people on here listen to other genres and enjoy genres than dance music
rap isnt the only other type of music out there you know...
the other board members cant help it if you happen to like all the worst music in other genres ;)

I'd say a lot of people who are as you say "pricks about other genres", though there isn't many of them that i've noticed, are just ignorant toward other genres. The same could be said for you in general.
Personally i like a lot of other genres outside of edm. From House to Hip-Hop, Rock and Indie to Reggae, D&B to Folk for christ's sake. So, please don't tar everyone on this forum with the same brush based on a small number of posts made by a few philistines.

Seriously man there's a thread going as we speak about other genres? :P
But remember aswell that the commercial Hip-Hop stuff doesn't float as well over here as it does in the states. I used to be into rap myself. Never cared much for the Hip-Hop side of things though.

That's because it's terrible, not because it's not Hardcore :P Well in our opinion of course. If you had linked to something that has any musical value it would be different. I listen to as much as or more non-electronic music as electronic music and lot's of which is very very different indeed. True music cannot truly be put into a genre anyway as it transcends that. Good music is just good music. The only time 'genre' comes into it is when enough people do the same sort of thing that they can classify it as such.

Talking personally, I like most genres.
Drum & Bass - Love the liquid, jungle, breakbeat and experimental styles. This has been expressed in many threads. My fave genre, in fact. I don't slag off other genres if i can avoid it. Donk and hard house and the speed core genres are the only genres i dont really like on the whole electronic side of the music spectrum..
