Is it as popular where you're at or is it just the Lame Chicago Scene?! I could give a **** cuz, I got a Live365 Account (Pirate Radio) but, I would like to see a Happycore Show...
i don't think that is hardstyle. sounds just like the eurodance of the early 2000s
but i like both hardstyle and dubstep. hardstyle is so remniscent of US Hard House which i still love and dubstep is 2 me a good alternative to hiphop since it has so much hiphop elements incorporated into it. but def prefer my hardcore over either 1
also dubstep is an easier scene to be a part of here in Houston. there's not much going on as far as Hardcore here goes, but dub def beats out being apart of the electro scene

I used to love hard style back in the day with its dirty sucking basses and big hoover sounds but now it sonds like really cheesy, slow Nu-Style. Jumpstyle is worse too. I personally think it sounds as cheesy/cheesier than mainstream Hardcore, how everyone who listens to it things it is hard I dont know. Plinky plonky triplet riffs will never sound hard. There is some great artists about still though of course!
Dub-step is great I think but I can't take whole sets/nights of it at parties. Don't mind the odd tune or two dropped in with breaks or DnB but it just doesn't have enough energy to play for long periods at parties. Chillin' music IMO. :)
Both are very popular atm where I am, especially Dub-Step. It's huge in London which is just down the road. Hardstyle is hugely popular in the free party scene esp. outside of the citys in all the countryside areas. Inner city free parties in London normally favour Acid Techno or Psy Trance depending on who is running it of course. Quote a lot of breaks all round these days too which pleases me muchly. :D

Yeah it is absolutely awful. It is at least as bad as UK Hardcore. Infact exactly the same thing has happened to it as what has to UK Hardcore. Unfortunately these days anytime you mention Hardstyle people just assume you mean the rubbish that's out now which i don't consider to be Hardstyle at all. And no longer is it possible to hear the real stuff played out, very dissapointing because it was unbeatable. I really love proper Hardstyle but absolutely cannot stand what it has become. Pretty much every song has the same chord progression and uses EXACTLY the same sounds, and no it's not remotely hard.

I disagree. Some of them are quite hard. I don't think the same thing has happened, but will soon. It will also have a much shorter life than hardcore simply because there is much less room for change and no one is branching out.
