So I'm going to try doing an 8-10 minute mix every weekend. Of course I'll be using VDJ until I get some gear and since beatmatching with a mouse is so hard (if only I got a MIDI controller with 2 sliders or nobs) I'll be cheating with the sync button.
Anyway, the mixes are at my channel here and I'll be playing mostly whatever I'm in the mood for at the moment. Please leave any critiques and comments.

Sick idea, cept I'm afraid for the potential spam and the usage of VDJ. Not a lot of people look at VDJ positively (on it's own, that is.

10 minute mixes are pointless. Should be 60 - 80 min at least IMO.

Then it just becomes fade in and fade out of songs and I really only have Flanger and Filter effects so I'm not sure if I could keep it interesting. Though I'll try this out sometime.

i kinda laughed bout this :p flanger nd filter are efx i wudnt even recommend using overall... but anyway, fade in / out? cmon :) if you make longer mixes its just like 10 min mixes. you gotta play around with the music. you know those faders? nd the lil cute eq button thingies :) you can play around with those to mix ;) yes if your using VDJ only itll be hard. dunno bout VDJ to much anymore but maybe you can set your keyboard to up nd down some things =] use ya mouse for the faders to cut or so =] beats me.. least it doesnt just have to be fade in / out :)
the sky is your limit ;)

the music is the only thing about the mix that should be interesting. your job is to merge tracks together seamlessly. Your track selection is all that you should be concerned about. For now, just beatmatch it right and you're half way there.

I'll do an hour mix eventually, but I like doing 8-10 minute ones because it forces me to try different things than I would normally do just to get 4-5 songs in. In a longer mix I just do the whole "Fade song in without bass, switch basslines between songs, fade out song" thing over and over again.
Anyway, my next mix is up. You can find it here.
This was the hardest mix for me to pull off so far, it took around 2 hours just to get the first transition right, but I'm glad I did. I hope you guys like it and please leave comments and critiques.
Just uploaded my fourth mix. You can find it here.
