For a lot of reasons, mostly cuz I collect Vinyl and don't Steal Music!, ("If you ain't got no money take your broke ass home!")
Ex. No Serato Chicago Underground Hip Hop Pro (DJ 3rd Rail), Dude is Sick, I've been listening to him since '98, my Idol!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fQoEO2uJpwQ *I can see the point, having a huge selection at your fingertips, But I'll always be Vinyl!, even if Serato is a Club Standard!, **and no CDJs either... 2 TTs, a Mixer and a Mic, ain't that a Real DJ! =)

really dude... first of all you gotta chill down about whats a real dj or not. well woopdif*ckingdoo.. you got 2tt's a mixer and a mic.. first of all.. why would anyone wanna hear you talking your there to play music not to give a frigging talkshow. so what if someone plays digital? i see lots of big names using digital stuff or cdjs.. they actually get payed a lot to go out nd play for a bunch of people.. they aint real dj's? you gotta be shitting me. if you want to be a real dj as they were when they started.. get a big horn kinda pickup player.. or w/e that things called. the fact that your small limited brain isnt capable of handling serato doesnt mean the whole concept is crap.
second.. you must buy vinyl or your a person who steals music? get a frigging life dude... there's webshops everywhere these days to offer people sales at home, theres cd's because not every listener wants to go out nd buy a pair of decks nd vinyl to listen to their music. and since those things got invented anyway why not use them when your dj'ing.
serato is only one of the several programs that makes you dj with TIMECODED VINYL. in other words.. yes your using mp3's or whatever but you still need to use 'so to say' vinyl to mix. whats the frigging diffrence? except for not having to change the vinyl everytime. mixing wise theres not really a big diff and you still experience the whole dj'ing with vinyl thing.
and for finals. "If you ain't got no money take your broke ass home!", or be sneaky and secretly get a creditcard? GET YOUR BROKE ASS HOME ND GET A JOB YOU TWAT.. all that creditcard stuff is what started this bloody financial crisis. stop borrowing if you dont have cash, go earn it.
