A band you may want to check out of you havn't already is 'Yes', they are a highly regarded prog band (anyone anyone mentions Prog Rock they will generally mention Yes) along with Genesis and Pink Floyd. I don't listen to them personally as i've literally just never took the time. Again my dad has their stuff on vinyl haha.

i like the sound of that... some good stuff!
i had a listen to some yes songs, can't really find many to be honest with you.. do they have a significant album that i can get my hands on?
oh by the way, that steve hacket song was fantastic,
'every day'
very genesissy..(why isn't that a word)
sounds a bit like a compressed genesis, smaller breakdowns etc. IMO anyway..
