I live in Southern Oregon and when I'm bouncing along to a mixtape of HHC. I have people ask me what I'm listening to and I say Happy Hardcore and they are like, What's that? I know what it is to me and general terms but I'm not very good at explaining it to the non-hardcore folk.
So, okay.. I ask you this!

i always tell people that i listen to good music, and that is all i say... it takes too much time to explain, most non trance/house, electronic music...
Oh man, I hope I didn't brain my damage...

ah yes, PLUR in its true form...
but actually, to explain this (which i had to do recently) i compared it to the new track by sammy feat. yanou (or whatever her name is) popular on the radio now (heaven) and it's like that but a hell o f a lot faster and better.
"Everybody... rock, rock on.. "

the best explanation I've found is to tell them that it's Dance Music that's really fast, really hard, and really happy. Then I give them the names of some really good producers/trax. I live in TN, so I too am always having to explain it--or defend it, because so many people here are closed minded and the only HHC they've ever heard is the 2B series by Anabolic Frolic...which any experienced HHC head must admit, leaves a great deal to be desired.
Peace,
Caleb

If Barbie is so popular, why do you have to buy her friends?
