clubland for me isnt so much the remixing of pop tunes... clubland is the face of hardcore commercialism. It will create a basic track, then remix the same track, and consolidate all possible means of squeezing the juice/goodness of that track. Clubland for me also is a type of music that alters the way it could sound to suit more people. Somehow, very basic and niche sounds seem to appetize more people..

My music, whilst I am making music to impress a wider variety of people, isnt constructed with the same principle. I won't just add a kick, increase the tempo and give it a cocky melody, I do what I want to the track, to make it sound how I want, and not other people. It's the way I've rolled for a while really... I make my music for people to enjoy, but I make my music my own and completely custom to my tastes, and hopefully people will enjoy them :)

Sorry for the overblown reply... I just found it interesting that remixing a popular song could be compared to clubland. I don't make money from my music, so there's no reason to alter my style to other peoples palette. Even if I did make money from my music, it's be a take it or leave it approach. I will strive to improve my music making ability, but not the ideology I have behind each track and my principles of producing.

Kudos for the free track and for it being Fireflies, as I have no opinion on Pop songs.

As far a production goes, I enjoyed it. Not much constructive criticism I can offer, though.

I revised it a little. I tryed some new stuff just to see how it turned out. The acapella cant be improved unless I redo the extraction... I tried boosting the high's, but there's allot of unwanted noise...

I, for one, don't mind Owl City, as I feel they sound like Postal Service.
