Okay, so I've had a bit of time to get college work cleared and i was browsing the world water web for music. My friend (who coincidentally was the 'The Best DJ' from 08) then suggested Owl City - Fireflies. I enjoyed the track, and though; "you know what! I'll remix it!"
I found the sheet music for it got building. 10 hours later... I have half a track. After this morning, its finished. The acapella was a DIY I produced.. its poor quality. I dont do DIY's... The frequency clashes quite a bit... After all this was a fun test of my ability as a producer, and a track I hope you'll all like!
Thanks for downloading/listening. Any suggestions technical or whatever are appreciated! I may change the song in the future. Maybe after a few months. There are aspects I'm not too happy with.. For one, god knows why i put that bloody vocal piece in the outtro lol. Aaanyways, its free, so no complaining! :P Ty :)
EDIT::::: The 4shared version has been updated with minor changes. I've reincorporated some original sounds and changed bits I didnt like.

I agree that the lyrics are a bit strange but I like the melody etc.. and he talks about the fact he wishes earth would turn slowly, and that he's awake when he's asleep, blablabla I can understand that! No I think its a cool song and I like it :)

No I don't agree! Have you ever heard a song you liked in a language you don't understand? If so, it would be the same thing! You don't understand the lyrics but you like the song! And I heard songs in languages in didn't understand, but still I liked it :) See the point?

I actually think lyrics 90% of the time don't mean shit and i rarely pay attention to them. I only listen to the music and they add to.

well, heres my 2 cents
im no fan of the original - but i wanted to say (and be bluntly honest) i was impressed, usually when i hear your stuff it sounds as though its been run through some wierd archefluxx production machine, with the same sounds just organised a little different etc etc
but this one seemed different :) so kudos!
now...why do you insist on remixing other peoples stuff instead of concentrating on your own? :P

As for the second question.... for fun :) I liked the track and knew that other people would appreciate it, so i went for it :)
