i am running cubase studio 4 (pc) and I am trying to stretch a wav file. The problem is when i stretch the audio it does not change pitch. I want the audio to go higher in pitch when i shrink it, and go lower in pitch when i stretch it out. i know there is a very simple way to do this but for some reason i cannot seem to figure it out...thanks for your help!

The whole point of time stretching or compressing is that you can change the length of the audio without altering the pitch :P If you wan't to change the pitch you will need to either 1. load it into a sampler 2. use the pitch shift tool in Cubase.

i can do this easily in fl studio, thought i would be able to do it in cubase too (without a sampler). transposing the wav isn't the idea either. thanks for your help though.

If you don't mean timestretching or transposing i'm not sure what you mean. Can you explain more specificaly? I used FL for years before moving to Cubase.
