Archefluxx - Internal Fracture
This, here, is my first track of 2010!
Entitled 'Internal Fracture' (Lovingy named by Triquatra), this was an attempt at some different styles of hardcore.
Most of the 'Asian' sounding sounds were made with Sakura (which isn't a very enjoyable plugin imo). Nexus supplied a saw and one other 'Asian' style sound.
I'm hoping the mix down was better in this. Transitions are probably a bit off the boil, but I think they're okay.

That's just crying out for an acid line. Not a bad track but I think it could do with a touch more in there to keep it a bit more interesting. I'd be interested to hear some remix's of this.

Melody is very nice. I'm with Mortis, some remixes would be nice to hear. I think a nice Liquid D&B number could work well, i'd nominate myself to do just that but by now we know it'll just end up as another unfinished project to add to my already bulging folder. Track needs a little work mix down wise, tis very sub heavy. I know everyone says use your ears not your eyes when it comes to music, but a good trick to try out is to; import a similair style of track to yours, made by an established producer, into your DAW play your track then the big names' track and look at both using a frequency analyser (that blue cat one i linked you to for example). You'll notice the pros' track is much more balanced across the frequency spectrum, try to achieve a similair balance with your track. Nice punchy kick though, and your kick and bass work well together (for some reason that seems to be the most pristegious compliment you can give over at HP so thought i'd point it out). Would have liked to see you go somewhere with the sections you introduced a 2step beat, maybe a big breakbeat or D&B section? They just dragged on and on building up to nothing. The first time (1st breakdown) was ok but twice made my blood boil lol. Nice track man, your improving fast (already told you that once but whatever)! Good to see you dropped the safety blanket that is your beloved binary voice as well, nice one ;). Sorry for making this a little unreadable, could have done with a few more paragraphs or a Fractal Dimension type approach but i couldn't be bothered :p
Oh and i recon you could probably push the mastering a little more tbh. Don't go overboard though.

I'd love to hear a remix of this :) I'll see if a remix pack can be done.
The melody, I find flows quite well, which is what I liked most about the track.
I'll see what I can do about the acid line, but the glitchy/scratchy sound kinda served that purpose..
Also, I will do more with the breakbeat and master. Thanks for the feedback so far guys!

0:00-0:29: Workable, DJ friendly intro. Make sure to trim the beginning, right now the music starts at 0:05.
0:30- The asian style melody is an interesting touch, way to stand out from the crowd.
1:11- ... but that melody gets a bit repetitive by the end of the breakdown. You are introducing plenty of new stuff here to turn that off for a while.
1:44-2:05 The sustained bass sounds a bit static, add some effects to it to make it more interesting, maybe a filter sweep or a chorus/flanger/phaser.
2:39-2:51 The new tingling melody is great, you should use that more often in the track.
2:52- 3:37 I'm guessing this is the main drop. The lead sound could have a bit more presence, try to add back some high frequencies. The bassline fits well with the lead melody, no problems there.
4:41- That arpeggiated lead melody sounds a bit like Gameboy music to me :) but judging by your previous track this is part of your style, so who am I to judge...
6:33- You could use that scratch sound in other parts of the track, too. And maybe use it a bit less here, gets a bit repetitive.
All in all a decent tune, off to your MySpace page to check out some more tracks... :)
