I've always liked trance, but never really got involved. Don't know any good producers, I struggle with the categorisation of the sub-genres and I've only ever really listened to occasional compilation albums that I've picked up, which I'm sure probably aren't a true reflection on the trance scene.

Just started listening and this is goooorrrrgeous!
This got me thinking about something I've often wondered about actually. Aside from all the tape and CD packs that get released after major events, does anyone know where, or if, you can listen to mixes that people have recorded at your average events up and down the country each weekend? Do many people even bother recording them at all, let alone upload them?

Armin Van Buuren is top notch. Has been number one dj in the trance scence and the entire global dance scene also for a few years. Also Above and Beyond are really good. ATB has some great stuff out lately.

The reason it takes forever to download, is because the speed seems to be limited to 100kB/s, so it won't make a difference if your connection is faster, it will still take forever.
Btw thanks for the link, will be interesting to see if trance has started to sound good again, but I won't have my hopes too high :p
