Avoid the commercial stuff because it's really really bad. It's like really watered down Gabber but at a slower speed. The producers also feel the need to change the pitch of the kick as if it's a bassline and it sounds so bad it's not even funny.

as far as i knew the last person to stream live on the site was insanity he left. the person that got all the sets for hard.fm left and they havent seemed to have got things together since.
i was at one point looking at playing on hard.fm i think i am still listed as a resident on the site. however after being told a few things would get sorted out i still didnt get to play live (i have some sets in the playlist).
then in april rautemusik launched the HardeR stream and i jumped ship plus the stream sees twice the listeners. it was a good move and i have now established a good show

max, what do you mainly play and when? does your show get recorded?
To OP, check out lsdb, they have the biggest hardstyle database I have seen. Like hard2get said, generally avoid commercial stuff. Some of its not bad but you get sick of it really quickly. artists to check out
Noisecontrollers - old stuff is best, new stuff is very commercial but listenable, for a while. Best set is live at emporium.
Zany: commercial but some good stuff in there. Widowmaker is my favourite hardstyle song and one of my favourite edm songs.
Luna, The Prophet - havnt heard much of these guys but along with Lady Dana they pretty much invented and pioneered hardstyle.
Dozer - really very good and very underrated.
showtek - very popular but ive never liked them.
Alpha Twins
Deepack
Donkey rollers - commercial but some really decent stuff. Chopper is a must-listen-to and was awesome when they payed it on the huge defqon setup.
D-block and s-te-fan
Technoboy - 'nuff said
also, check out the track one blade by blademasterz (brennan heart) a good fun track (if you can find the 2008 q-dance sydney promo vid that amps it up a bit ;) )

i spin hardstyle too but not that often, i havent recorded a show in a while because the software i use only does it in WAV and i end up with a show taking over a gig lol

ive always found hardstyle a tricky genre, a little bit like drum n bass and dubstep, you really have to dig to find good tracks
not so much with DnB anymore as its branched out into its subgenres enough that one can more easily find DnB that one enjoys
