I used to have technics 1210s but sold them and my mixer to go travelling and im now looking at getting cdjs because it'll be so much cheaper to get music. I am looking to spend as little as possible as im broke at the moment. can anyone advise me on what to get, cd decks and mixer. thanks

I bought vinyl decks, from a pawn shop :), just to get the hang of DJ'ing, and recently I ordered a new set up.
2x Stanton C.324
1x A&H XONE 22 Mixer
This cost $960 new from DJDeals.com, shipping is free, this seems to be a good deal, DJ ROFLZ recommended the gear for me.

thats far too much for me lol. i was thinking something along the lines of 300/400 pounds.

im in the same boat as you..but i have about 500...
check on ebay for second hand cdj 100's...u can get a used pair for like 300...
if you want new check american audio cdi 100..nothen special but the reviews say they are sturdy and good for the 115 you can get them for..would ya not think of getting a dj controller for digital dj'in..you can get very good ones like the hercules rmx,numark omni controller,reloop digital jockey 2 or a m-audio torq xponent for around the 300 mark

i dont have hundreds of pounds to throw at just one cd deck tho. how much does a second hand cdj100 sell for?

depends ive seen them on ebay for 150...i am scouring it myself in the hunt for something that will post to ireland..if not ill be getting american audio cdi 300 with a behringer djx750 mixer

For that price it's worth a getting some Numark Axis 9's. I've been using the Axis 9 for about 2 years and never had a problem with it, great CD deck for the price.

yeah alot of people seriously speak highly of them..new they are pretty expensive but second hand on ebay you can pick one up for 120 handy enough...i still seriously like the look of cdj 200's and im currently trying to get a pair of 100's to start up
