Oioi party people.... So basically i'm a full on hardcore head and occasionally listen to Bounce as well. But I like to try out different genres and wondered if any one could recommend some good Funky/techy house tunes or even producers/djs to look out for??
Anything that's got a nice beat n a bit bouncy, along the lines of Antoine Clamaran - Take off or Steve Murano. Love out like that! Cheers.

I'm not a big house listener, but just do what you would do if you were just getting into hardcore. Listen to the more mainstream music, buy the Ministry Of Sound, Cream etc albums and listen to radio shows like Pete Tong and Judge Jules (think he's more Trance) and go from there.
Oh and of course Guru Josh Project - Infinity 09 ;)

That's the original dude. I know the tune your thinking of, but that's not the original.

Haha a stand corrected again, thought it was a bit strange mike di scala making an original tune lol! Not to keen on that version either but i suppose that was the style back then.
i'll have a listen 2 those when a get a chance cheers m8
those first two are my mortal enemys at the moment, radio one keep playing them over and over and over and over and over
i didnt like them the first time...and after the 500000 time of hearing the same "melody" over and over and over ...ding ding ding ding ding ding ..or waaa waaa waaaaah wa wa wa waaahh..over pitpull *shudder*

By the way, House doesn't have to be commercial … there's also some kind of underground house ( not so well known ), which is pretty cool :)
It's not harder or something, it's just .. underground :) Like HU is to Clubland Hardcore.
Check out everything by: Mylo, Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso, Steve Angello, Sebastien B, Joachim Garraud, Klaas, Steve Oaki, Tocadisco, Deep Dish, Dirty South, Fedde Le Grand, DJ Delicious, Til West, Eddie Thoenick, Richard F, Wolfgang Gartner, The Egg, Roger Sanchez, Laidback Luke, etc etc.
Here is also a Sensation White Mix which I absolutely LOVE!! It's the mix that made me want to mix. I love the way the tracks are being played, so quick, so fast, full of power. That was also the first DJ Set I ever heard :) I was 12 or so, I didn't know what a mix was at the time, lol.
i really should add something constructive to this topic like suggesting some songs as the topic starter wanted :P
i like most of the sides of house..but the two that you said "along the lines of" its not really a style i listen to...closest i of what i like ...thats like that ..would be Angel Alanis - Sexual Soul
its quite funky even though its a bit repetative...

WHYYYYYYYYYYYY those two :P
also - that subfocus track kicks ass :D
haha i know they're terrible, but i like 'em. I used to listen to a lot of minimal and got a little bored, they're about as much of a contrast as is possible, thinks that why i like them. Whether they're house or not, i dunno.... could be techno? :p
"your like one of the bestest people on the forum"
aww shucks, thanks lol.
