Is there a trick to get the synths more on top of the kick and bass?? im using Ableton 8.0.1

cut the frequency they both occupy on the synth
try cutting your synth from 200hz should give your kick & bass the room they need

Like Shades said sweep the low end off the synth, sweep the high end off the kick and bass if they have any. Not all synths sound good this way, it's as much about the make up of the lead, kick and bass as it is cutting frequencies.

Before resorting to corrective EQ measures do what you can with the tools you have on the synth. Filter, amp envelope etc. This is much more effective. Also think about things like timing. Maybe arrange the notes (or change the length of the notes) so you can hear everything clearly.
