I was listening to Clubland E-xtreme HC 7, and I heard Re-cons' Kidz, and I though to myself, well... catchy tune, but dead f*ing boring.
So I set out to write a better version! I found the melody on the interweb somewhere, and got stuck in.
So, here it is:
Facebook Video: http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=196418529716&ref=nf 4shared link: http://www.4shared.com/file/169155895/bb04a9e/Archefluxx_-_Kidz__Master__app.html Youtube link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gR_lHNAk8b0 Now, the feedback I've gotten so far included: 180bpm ruins something, but 'unsure' of what. Too much high-end, not enough low. I've got some things I also want to alter and change, such as percussion and alter the mix down. I want to automate some of the bass add something to the lead. I might even through my own sample thing in there :D Anyway, as always, open for critisism and comments. This was after all, a fun little track to work with. If I were more serious about it, I'd have spent longer on it, but big "meh". :) Enjoy!!

Good work as Dain-Ja said and I like 180bpm. It may well be too fast for most music styles but this is Hardcore ffs so don't worry about it.

Well better than the one on CXH anyway bud well done
Loving the breakdown. Cant really knock anything without being too picky like seriously awesome work.
Yet another reason to look forward to Christmas
Maybe a snare roll on the second build would build the tension a bit more. Like I mean maybe the last 8 bars? Well only 7 cause I like the 8th as it is.
Best track so far though I'd say.

Wow thanks! The intention was to make a remix that was more interesting than Re-cons. Unfortunately, it would never sound better quality, but it's generally a bit more entertaining. I'll clean up and add some more stuff next week, and release an updated version.
And yeah, Conn, I'll do something to the lead :)

heh, I'm addicted to that binary voice. Once I even recorded my mum holding a C note and chopped that up!
Any more feedback? :P

Sorry I forgot to add feedback on this one.
I don't like the melody at all, I think it's boring but I know that's not your fault
Production wise your getting much better and your sounds are starting to cut through a lot clearer than they have in your earlier stuff.

AATW don't waste no time do they? Seems only last week they released 6 ;)
Just going to reiterate what's been said already. Things sounding much clearer, but still a bit lo-fi and very high dominant. It seems everything has quite a lot of hiss to it, round about the 14kHz area, i had to do a little cut there cos it was starting to wear my ears out a little. I'd say you should go back and do this, made it much easier to listen to. There are a few painful, resonant frequencies that need dealing with too, on the FX drop, downlifter (stupid name) whatever you wanna call it at the beginning, the binary voice and that synth at about 2:10 mainly. That sytnh at 2:10, i'd try and make the enveloped filter cut off a bit less obvious. As for the feedback you'd already recieved before posting; 180bpm doesn't do this tune justice, but then again 170 wouldn't either and i'm not sure there is a lack of bottom end, if anything i'd say it's slightly too prominent.
The track itself, i don't know if you've quite accomplished the goal you set out on tbh. It's ok - not really my thing but ok - but it's still not massively interesting, though the Recon version is probably one of the most boring, effortless tunes ever strung together. The original which i love, without the vocals, would be boring. The melody just isn't that interesting and it's repeated throughout, in the original and the remix, so it's bound to become dull.
Can't think of much else to say really. You have improved a lot mate, so well done. Definitely making serious progress.
EDIT
This seemed like a predominantly twatish post reading back, so here's a smiley face to soften it slightly

haha CXH6, CXH7... same thing really, isn't it xD certainly wont sound too different...
As for the feedback, once again, another huge load of what I'm looking for. This sort of technical feedback is what this forum is simply so brilliant for :D
I'll bare all of it in mind. I did intend to use the vocals, but there wasn't an acapella to be found..
Never mind, eh? :D
Thanks peeps once again!
