Looking at upgrading CD players, definatley going with pioneer. Basically wondering if there is a cerntin model of CDJ that is ideal for mixing HHC? I would think the bigger the platter, the more persice beat matching with be, but what do I know? I'm just a noob lol! It's kinda up in the air between CDJ 400, or CDJ 800. Help me decide :)

ur right you are a noob.
there is no magic turntabel that is better for mixing a spcific type of musc there are just better quality CD player atm CDs are going out its all about digital these days i advise you buy a coppy of traktor Scratch pro and either a Midi controller (VCI100) or 2 1200mk2s and mixer and you should be set ;)

I have CDJ-800s and I'm happy with them :)
If you want to avoid burning CD's like me, you can Traktor, Serato, Virtual DJ or whatever, an interface and some timecode CD's, so you can play the tracks directly from your computer onto the CDJ's ;)

Oh you could just by CDJ-400s and use two USB Flash Drives to hold all of your music. Still never have to burn music, save you from buying an expensive program, and less money the the 800s.

I know you said you want to go with pioneer but I wouldn't they are over priced for the features they have
I would go with the Denon DN-HS5500
You can pick one up on eBay with a warranty for around $700
but that's the best part about it you only need ONE
video explaining:
so you could just pick up one of these and a mixer and add another deck latter
plus it's got a spinning platter :P

There's the Torq Conectiv Timecode system which is not very expensive.
