Well, not so much the mastering I tried, but I use fruity loops and their is an effect called Fruity Limiter' .. I switched it off and everything seemed to sound more clearer, the first version has it on and the second one i posted up has it switched off.
:) if that makes sense any way :D
It does. Never use that thing again :)

I never have a limiter on the master channel. I tried it on one track and it sounded OK until I rendered it as a wav then the sound quality went tits up. Don't know if you know this but in FL there is an option called circular panning law - turn that off and you'll notice an increase in volume and sound quality.

Can't give you much advice on the production side of things, but apart from being a touch repetative I really liked this track.
One comment though, there really is no difference between trance and hardcore these days is there, except for the tempo? If this track was reduced in tempo I could imagine it being on a Gatecrasher CD or something.

How can I steal a lead?
I've never heard of that song, and plus I got sent the midi file by a friend, I have never once said I made that lead, nor have I tried to sell it or release it in any way.
How is that wrong? I wasn't to know it was from someone else's song was I?
I'm only learning at the min just give me a break!
