I'm looking to do a very limited 1-day event (max 10 seats), teaching essential music production skills. It will be a day of Q&A, demo feedback, with handouts, practical examples, lots of opportunities to take notes, and a heavy focus on one particular subject.
I teach in an easy-to-follow manner, and I want it to be non-sequencer specific, so that you can go away and apply the learnings to whatever program / kit you choose to use.
I also want to teach a subject with a strong bias towards dance music, in a level of detail that you won't find anywhere else.
Here are my suggestions, please let me know what you'd most be interested in learning:
Option 1: Music and composition theory
Option 2: EQ / Frequencies
Option 3: Compression / Dynamics
Option 4: Other (please describe below)
Thanks!

Owen communicates knowledge really well... If I lived in the UK I'd definitely do this.

I'd take option 1 or 3.... if i could be involved. I'd love to have a better understanding of music and composition theory, everytime i try teaching myself it all goes about a mile above my head. Unfortunately, a few money issues (well one - not having any) have kept me from coming down to your studio for a one to one, so i doubt i'll be able to get in on this either :(. Great idea though, mate.
