some places in the mix inn a song im making theres a punch that comes in..i have checked everything but i dont know where it comes from
.. im using ableton ..somebody know?:P

If you post a clip it might help people to understand what the punch might be. Don't use Ableton myself so it'll be hard to guess without hearing it.

do you mean the really punchy kick orbit1 uses in some tunes..like at the start of everytwhere i turn??
if so then i dunno bout ableton but id imagine the sound can easily be replicated by coning ur kick...then high pass or eq the low off..give it a try not sure if its what your looking for

Do you mean it sounds like a snare in your song? If so are you sure you've not doubled it up by mistake (put two notes playing at the same time). Have you tried changing the snare? It could be that it's just clashing with the frequencies of your other sounds.

have you got any fx on the master channel ?
mortis is right about doubling up on notes, i'd check that too
