I know i have asked about this in the past, but....
im looking for a deal on a used DJM 800 mixer, there is one at my local guitar center, but the thing has been sitting there for a good 4 year, and people have stolen the fader caps and knobs off the thing the listing price is still $1500!!! I asked how much they bought it for, a decent price, $1140, but the shape its currently in, i would not pay $800 for it, so if anybody knows where i can get a good deal on DJM 800, let me know,
i am already checking both Ebay and Craigslist.
Thanks again guys!!

for some wierd reason i read that as "CDJ800"
i have no idea, its been a long day lol
i wouldnt mind a custom mixer...but to send my mixer to you...and then have it sent back..plus the labour costs - it would definatly be worth while offering the service in the states though!

i know how u feel mate, im wiped out.
what kind of mixer do u have? i might be able to do something...maybe, but i had the idea to have people send me their mixers. 2 problems:
1. i would probably be swamped with emails asking for me to customize peoples mixer, i dont have that kind of time.
2. there is also the liability of damage to the mixer while im working on it, i dont want to have to say to someone "oops, i broke your mixer sorry"
any suggestions on the first mixer i should do? i was thinking a DJM 400, put it on ebay for a higher price since there is work done to it, and see what happens....

ah! nice i had that one triquatra, the filters on it suuuucked. they make a clicky noise when you push that button to activate them.
the rest of the effects aren't that bad though. i had to replace it when the faders all started to bleed (which may or may not have been because i spilled vodka on it).
i bought the korg zero 4, it's actually quite nice!!! 4 channel, already has the a built in soundcard so it works instantly with traktor... that feature alone was worth the money.
anyway, i just wanted to say i had that same mixer, triq. and good luck on your search complex

yep, the filters sure do suck! to the point where i wont even touch em!
never touch the effects anyway, and im not sure if it was a good idea linking them with the crossfader - certainly different though!

Give it a few months and there will be loads of 800's on the second hand market. At the moment they are still industry standard.
Pioneer have just brought out the CDJ 2000 to replace the 1000 and they always bring out a mixer to suit the player. Pioneers a funny one one month something is worth thousands the next bugger all.
Have you looked at the 700? Realy nice bit of kit.
