interesting, i live in cumbria (british lake district) on the outskirts of bounce territory, but it is all the rage here, alot of kids listen to it and i do mean ALOT..
see im very happy that their style is getting pushed, god knows hardcore got under carpet swept for the longest time..but im bugged slightly by this as (and yes, this is purely selfish of me) im not into scouse/bouncy house...and i just wish there were like-minded people up here....in bounce-land.
back in 2000 i was DJing 3 nights a week hard house and trance at a local nightclub and you could hear where bounce progressed from..
if i were (and i do plan on it) to put on a night/event here in cumbria ive no idea what sort of response i would get because the majority of people would be expecting bounce/scouse house.....
i dunno, when i lived in the states i complained about the complete lack of dance music - now i get back to england and im complaining about the complete whoring of dance music from every angle lol.
i feel like i have to keep reminding myself of what i want out of music and the music scene...
im really hungry too - and i feel like a cheese toasty

Phenex posted a link to a documentary on his website. While I was seening it, I felt happy to see that a Hardcore related sub genre got a lot young people on the dance floor but on the other hand I felt solicitude and shame seeing all the meatheads and f**ed up people...really ambiguous documentary for me!

Used to listen to that kinda shit when I was 13-15... MC Finchy, Blackout, MC Scotty D, MC Colsey hahaha, but around here now you're pretty much labelled as a chav the second someone knows you listen to donk stuff :P Not so much hardcore though because nobody knows what it is ;)
