hiya i was looking at virtual dj and saw a video of cotts teaching you how to use it
it seems pretty easy and i like the looks of it but its about £250, is there any others like it for cheaper or any others that are better quality? which DJing programs are the best? for a newbie like myself?
thanks

Cotts?
Ravine did the Virtual DJ video.
Some people squarely stand behind them. But, honestly, I think you're just better off getting some CDJs or some turntables. First hand experience and practice is always better. IMO

If you want a DJ program solely for making mixes and not for learning how to mix then I would recommend Mixmeister. It takes all the skill out of mixing but you can mix seemlessly with it. It's VERY impressive really I remember being totally blown away the first time I used it.
Briansredd on You Tube has done a few videos with it and you can go to mixingonbeat.com for tutorials and help about it. If you're mixing dance music (Or music with a 4x4 beat) then I would recommend Mixmeister Fusion.

How much you want to spend? I'm sure you could get a second hand set of 2 x CDJ100's and a cheap mixer and you'll be rockin if you want to go hardware...
