Here's a little dance remix I did.
Black Eyed Peas - I Gotta Feeling (Archefluxx Remix)
The tracks a bootleg and has been played at local clubs, already. I'm pleased with the production quality, though I'm open to suggestions on what i could have done to improve it.

01:53 is too long to wait for it to properly kick in. You need to do much more with the percussion. What you've done is fine for Hardcore but at this speed you could do so much more. Not liking the open hat at all either.
Good effort though man it's pretty good though not really my thing.

Aye have to agree with the geeza. Commercial Dance really is a different game to Hardcore, needs much more going on, much more proffesional production quality. Also as said, much shorter intro. Remember the knuckle-dragging pissed up idiotic audience you're aiming for with a track like this, they don't have the attention span to wait that long before throwing out the shapes.
Few things that bothered me. That off-beat gated pad sounds way too loud in the mix, it actually punches through the mix and my ears lol. Also, that synth at the beginning sounds too harshly panned, or that it's just too loud in the mix, either way it's too obvious and distracting. The main focal point in commercial dance tracks should be the vocals and the kick. The vocals especially, the vocalists don't get to celebrity status by sitting back in the mix and being overpowered by their synths.
The track isn't really to my taste. Hate the original tbh, although the video ain't too shabby (Fergie  ). So i can't really comment on owt else but production.
Oh and i feel all my feedback posts should now come with a letter of apology. So here goes

thanks for the feedback.
i dont mind you slating my stuff, meathead.. its how i improve. you're advise in particular helps me identify what i need to change and whatnot so thanks :) keep the harshness :) anyone serious about production will appreciate it, as i do
the emptiness is understandable. I did have a vocal choir pad thing, but i got rid of that and didnt replace it.
I might update it.. or I might not :P heh

I think its actually well done even though the black eyed peas make me want to ****ing rip my ass hair out 1 by one. The only problems I have with it is the intro is too long and there is not enough bass when the track actually rises and kicks in.
All in all though it was good
