Personally I don't think just one song could encapsulate the "Sound" of our generation, there are so many songs that describe tha culture even if they don't have words!! But I would say that Anabolic Frolics "Ravers Groove" is a pretty bad ass song, as you already know.

Wasn't the song "Raver's Groove" by Mindtrust, not Anabolic Frolic?

moving back to the main topic - the rave scene like technutz said contains many many songs, and many styles of music. over the years there have been many anthems, so i s'pose i could give u a list of what i think the "rave sound" has been through the years. i'll go back to 91, cos before then, i didn't really have much interest in the rave scene. since rave covers a variety of types of music, it will not only be happy hardcore, but hardcore (old skool) and jungle/drum n bass as well, as these genres have produced many classic anthems, still played out in raves today, due to their anthem-status. sorry for blabbing on - here is my list:
old skool:
*the prodigy - your love
*sonz of a loop da loop era - far out
*bass selective - blow out pt. 2
*Future Sound of London - Papua New Guinea
*Urban Shakedown - Some Justice
*Liquid - Sweet Harmony
*Baby D - Let me be your fantasy
*Edge*1 - Compended
*Awesome 3 - Don't Go
*Shut Up and Dance - Raving I'm Raving
*The Prodigy - Out of Space
*SL2 - On a Ragga Tip
*Nookie - Gonna be Alright
*Vibes & Wishdokta - Obsession
*SMD1 (can also be classed as happy hardcore)
*NRG - i need your lovin
*Orca - 4am
*dj force - perfect dreams (happy hardcore remixes aswell)
many more i can add, but these stick out
drum n bass:
*foul play - renegade snares
*dj ss & mickey finn - lighter
*q project - champion sound
*renegade - the terrorist
*terrorist - the chopper
*origin unknown - valley of the shadows (31 seconds)
*dj zinc - super sharp shooter
*dj zinc/dj hype - fugees or not
*jungle brothers - jungle brother (urban takeover)
*mystical & influence - man of steel (superman)
*taktix - the way
*shy fx - original nuttah
again, only biggest choons listed, many could be added
happy hardcore:
*jimmy j & cru l t - take me away
*jimmy j & cru l t - six days
*jimmy j & cru l t - eternity
*dj ham - most uplifting
*force & styles - pretty green eyes
*force & styles - heart of gold
*bang! - shooting star
*bang! - cloudy days
*bang! - break of dawn
*visa - fly away
*go mental - died in your arms
*2 without heads - you and me
*supreme & ufo - forever autumn
*ramos & supreme - crowd control
*midas - groove control
*eruption - let the music
*brisk & trixxy - eye opener
*Q tex - power of love
*e-logic - run to me
*charly lownoise & mental theo - your smile
*SMD1
*SMD3
*paul elstak - rainbow in the sky
*slipmatt & eruption - sunshine
believe me i could think of and list many more, but i'll leave that up to you. what do you reckon are the biggest happy hardcore anthems of all time, that i haven't listed. or add some to old skool and drum n bass. go for it.

If U ask me, The original Toytown by Hixxy & Sharkey, the original Now Is The Time by Scott Brown & prolly a few others, Delirious by DJ Kaos & BMH Volume III by Jon Doe symbolise hardcore 4 me. THROTTLING TRACKS!

i dont think u could mention just 1 song 2 sum up the rave scene, there r so many many new n old 1s which represent the rave scene 4 me:
let me play, cant stop raving, discoland, time after time.
but there r 3 of my ultimate favourites:
shooting star
died in your arms tonight
pleasure and pain
these r the biggest 1s 4 me
'like a shooting star across the midnyt sky, gonna fly just 2 b wit u 2nyt'
