i remember watching a tutorial made by stigma i think, he used a sample of a football hitting a wall for the kick and snare.. re-sampled and edited to the max.

i just reckon it involves absolutely shitloads of waveform work and HUGE amounts of levelling & compression...

in short.. Good luck!

To start off you could use processed and sliced amens, throw on a deep sine wave to cover low end bass and then throw some melody on top :p I suck at making DnB(or any genre for that matter), but that's what I do, until my skills improve

boom chh boomchh

waw waw wawwaw waw waw waw wawwaw.

Make a DnB breakbeat by putting loads of different breaks together. Obviously these need to be at different frequencies and have different qualities to build up one fat beat. You need to chop them all up and put them in your chosen pattern. Try listening to a few DnB tracks to identify all the different qualities needed.

You will no doubt need a bit of eq to make the break and bass work but it's not as difficult as people are making out! Lots of different ways you can go about it and the kick isn't as dominant as in Hardcore in the first place.

Remember though... Big, big snare. 8)
