Okay, so my Electribe might finally be selling (<3), and I'll have enough money to get my CDMP-6000. Since I'll be getting this is at least two weeks, I'd like to stock up on my mixing knowledge now.

My possibly very stupid question is: When I do mixes, what are the best tracks to use. What I mean is should I stay away from putting Clubland Hardcore in the decks, or are they just as awesome to use. I'm asking cause I know there's got to be a place to find these tracks in their original unmixed form, right?

Also, what are the best places to learn how to mix with cds? I know there is that guy Ellaskins on youtube, but he has too many videos and breaks everything down to an unbearably long and slow learning speed.

Where ever you are playing, always mix a tune because you like it, not because you think it's popular with all the kids. As long as you are doing this you can start to develope a certain sound and style of mixing that is unique to your own.

Theres 2 ways to do this:
1. Mix in a track you know mixes well with the currently playing track, or...
2. Read the crowd and spin a style you think will go down well with them during that moment in your mix (pump up the crowd, slow 'em down, melt their face, let 'em breath, etc).

I wouldn't know about the "best" but if you were able to find that guy, ellaskins, then you should be able to find other videos like his on youtube.
Anyone recommend somthing?

Learning to mix is going to take alot of dedication to learn, sometimes at "an unbearably long and slow learning speed". Just give it patience and train your ear to learn que-points like second nature. After that all you gotta do is develope your own style.

QFT

As far as developing your own style goes, you'll find that as your learning to mix your style will work it's way to the surface eventually.
