But a better and longer one with people shouting stuff like "YEAHH!" or "WHOOO!", and whistling and stuff like that you know.

no offense, but I think crowd samples are a bit cheesy, bordering on lame :p just my opinion, of course ^^

Depends o how loudly they're used I think.
Sometimes layered with some pads very very low in the mix can fill out the audio spectrum.
Having said that I've done the big kick bomb into loud crowds with horns/whistles combo a few times.... Would agree its overused nowadays though!
