Anyone else of to Global Gathering this weekend?
I Can't wait for it but it seems odd to me that there has been no event posted on here or discussion about it considering the amount of hardcore there? (even if it is a fairly uninspired HTID lineup).
If any1 else is going what are you looking forward to?
For me it has to Orbital as i have been a massive fan since the age of about 13.
And all the Hard Trance/House maybe even a bit of trance.

would have love to have gone, but plans fell through - turned out the train tickets would have only cost be £10 there and back as well!

****in top weekend! enjoyed every moment, bit dissapointed with the htid vs polysexual tent, the system really wasnt that great compared with the random concept tent & heard some sets that really didnt live up to the standards i'd expect from some of the djs, especially Brisk & Ham.
noisia f*ckin smashed global gathering apart, that tent went f*ckin nuts!! easily one of best sets ive EVER seen! big up to Kutski as well!
Roll on southern sound!!

Yeh was a wicked weekend. HTID vs Polysexual really didn't work in my eyes. Dont think you should mix the genres and yeh alot of djs really were not that good.
Got to see Orbital which has been on my to do list for years and years. They really did live up to my expectations.

I don't think it was a case of the genres not working together. I just think the set-times werent thought out well enough and as you said before, the lineup was 'uninspired'; but what is ever new with htid?

The Count & Sinden were on fire on the friday night! Loved the way they mix Jackin' House, Dubstep & D&B together so effortlessly! That set really got my weekend going! Magnetik Man (Skream b2b Benga b2b Artwork) was tip top aswell, good to see Dubstep represented well across multiple stages this year! Obviously Noisia as i already mentioned earlier in the thread, absolutely brialliant!! So many more artists i could mention! Thought Wotsee was brilliant in both sets & Storm also really worked the htid vs polysexual tent well.
I think i may give next year's Global a miss unless the lineup is too good too miss, gonna give Glade a go, had a load of mates go down and said it was was an intense weekend so definately up for that next year!
Who's coming to Southern Sound 2009??

The lineup will have to be sooooo much better for me to bother next year.
Dont think it will tho.
Would rather have contagiouse back with there own stage and a different hardcore area (if atall.
A freeformatiuon tent would be imense (will never happen) but would interest all the non hard dance type crowd far more than htid.
