I highly recommend that KPM to anyone interested. I'd get it myself but I already have his big brother the KP3.

i had a kaoss pad 2 once, barely got used, just an expensive gadget. in the end it made more sense to sell it because the money was more useful than the machine...
..guessing thats why his is for sale and in such good condition "Barely used" ;)

KP2 is much different than KP3.
The KP3 is for like effects mixing, while KP2 was more about sounds.

doesnt look like it, i had a KP1 built into a shitty Numark EM260 back in 1999, which had around about 100 effects, the KP3 has 128 effects, in 2003 when i had the KP2 it had 128 odd effects plus a few sound effects also and the added sampler -
KP3 looks as though it has all the effects of the KP1 + 2 and probably the sounds too...but all beefed up with that software, and extra controls over the effects..
ill look for an effect list, bet they're they same effects on em

KP3 has only 9 sounds. The rest are all echoes, filters, eqs, flangers, etc. It really is much more different than the other two.

KP2 has 14 sounds in its "synth" bank, and 8 in its "drum"..the other 75 are filters, effects etc
http://www.korg.com/uploads/Support/KP2_OM_E_633661788715550000.pdf Kp3 has 10 in its "synth" bank and 6 in its "drum" bank.. http://www.korg.co.uk/downloads/kp3/support/KP3_MIDI_FX.pdf that said, the Kp3 has 124odd presets....whereas the Kp2 only has 99, so the Kp3 must have a few extra's either way, its an effects unit, and most people know how much they get used ie: to the point of abuse at the start, then starts to windle....then doesnt get used...then gets sold as "barely used" :P (i am of course refering to DJing here...production wise im sure they are very handy, specially in live situations)

I love how your model of how much they'll be used perfectly described my habit of using it. There's probably an indent in my carpet now with the shape of the bottom of my kaoss pad.

Yeah lol, it's in a safe area though. But now that you mention it, I think it's going on my gear table.

It depends, I used to produce poppy techno music which never could find a place for my KP3. I might considering it being used for mixes once I get my setup.

Agh I said it didn't I? Dammit I've been trying to stay away from that word. I feel so hypocritical now because I've been getting so mad when people will listen to Hardstyle, HHC, Trance, Chiptune, DnB, and call them all techno.
Also, sorry for basically stealing your topic Lorenzo!

True that. But for real, as I was saying, people should go for the Mini KP.
