haha yep,
there was a massive thing over Marcus schossow making a track called "Very exactly" which i think was based on Deadmau5's track "Not exactly". was obviously bagging the fact that Deadmau5's tracks sound very similar.. it ended up being a massive argument/rant, and i think Deadmau5 made a track called Marcus fatsow or something.. Marcus turned up to play at a gig when he was set to play after Deadmau5, and allegedly Deadmau5 made sure his agents didn't let Marcus in or something, very low if that's what happened.. and i'm pretty sure that's what happened.

I really like a lot of his tunes. "Not Exactly" is probably one of the best tunes for summer days sat in the garden with a beer i have ever heard.
Yeah some of his tunes sound samey but that's hardly an argument for people whos primary music to listen to is Hardcore.

it's not an argument at all, and it's not defined by genre.
Deadmau5 still conforms to 4/4 and has a bassline and percussion. If you want to get technical, technically it isn't that different from hardcore.
But i don't listen to artists in hardcore that sound samey, and it still pisses me off.
Not all house producers do it, not all hardcore producers do it.
But when they do, i reserve the right to tell them to diversify a little bit.
Unfortunately, even comparably to hardcore, deadmau5 is VERY samey

Some of his tracks are samey yes but looking through quite a few of his releases there is plenty of diversity.
All music within genres will be samey to a degree or it probably wouldnt be a part of that certain genre. Of course his tracks are 4/4 and contain bass and percussion, would it still be house if it was 5 minutes of him strumming "mary had a little lamb" on the guitar solo? Technically all EDM is samey in that respect then surely? Im not that interested in technicallties, the fact is i hear more diversity going through Deadmau5's discog than i do Squad-Es, Styles (later years) and plenty of other mainstream-ish Hardcore producers.
"Unfortunately, even comparably to hardcore, deadmau5 is VERY samey"
Hardcore as a genre vs Deadmau5, yes there will be more diversity within a genre than in one mans head. However select a mainstream-ish Hardcore artist and compare diversity - Deadmau5 wins imo.
EDIT
On a lighter note - you yanks stop destroying our language! *shakes fist*

Just like Darren Styles... Flashlight, Girlfriend, Save Me, Come Running, um sorry but, appart from the melody and the lyrics, what's different ?! It's the same track x 4 … The intro of all of his tracks just sounds the same, of course it's easier to mix it, but still.. usually I recognize a track immediatly from the beginning, when you hear one of Style's tracks, you don't know which one it's going to be.
