hey ....how come theres barely any hardstyle on vinyl?

http://music.shop.ebay.co.uk/items/Records__hardstyle_W0QQ_catrefZ1QQ_flnZ1QQ_sacatZ306QQ_trksidZp3286Q2ec0Q2em282

i mean yeah, 30ish good hardstyle tracks out there...but why's that apparently stopping them pressing this stuff to vinyl?

..or is it just nobody selling it on ebay?

Alot of Hardstyle goes on vinyl and are selling quite well, i just don't think anyones really putting them up on eBay. I'd say there would be alot more on discogs for example, (incase you were looking for some).

most are signed to scantraxx and they are essentially the raverbaby of the hardstyle scene in terms of releasing tracks. In the end, most of their stuff gets released as vinyl rather than mp3. I prefer hardstyle on vinyl simply because it sounds more dirty and distorted. I really think it improves a track. I dont get harstyle tracks that are really clean and crisp in melody yet try and pull off the whole hard distortion thing.

Noisecontrollers live at emporium was recorded at 80 something bps, an imo is the best sounding mix i have heard, as well as one of my fave. (the bass is not flattened as can happen in live recordings, and comes out heavy in the mix).

CANNOT WAIT FOR DEFQON.1 !!!!!1!111!!!1!!

the euro defqon was last night wasnt it? any reports on how it went?

good ones to look for (imo)

Widowmaker - Zany -- All time fave hardstyle track
F.M.W. (Deep in throat mix) - Brainkicker
The Pressure - The Hose
Have a look at Dozer - Reverse and Legacy are good ones
Anything by Noisecontrollers - they are worth their weight in gold atm, yellow minute is ace, as well as everything else they've produced.
D-block and S-Te-Fan - some quality, some ave
Euphoria & Midnight by Zany & Beholder - these are good set finishers=)

i liked the dozer ones! and the noise controller ones i heard...
zany ones arent bad either

i dont like the fact they keep using these stupid hip hop acapellas or whatever they are
"muther ****in, crunk etc etc" kinda ruins the song for me..

thankyou very much for those though, a few more have been added to the list now :P

afaik, thats the only track with such samples. Took me a while to warm to that track but now i love it. oh, its "crump" ;). In general not much time and effort is wasted on lyrics =P

two mixes i would really recommend as must have noisecontrollers at emporium, and a hardhouse generation mix they did on 25/3/09. covers most of their material i think.

Also highly recommended is d-block and s-te-fan at defqon 08 and q-base 07. both mixes have bit of their own and a lot of less commonly heard stuff compared to the mainstream.

All are on livesetsonline and tracklists are posted their i believe - if not they can be found elsewhere.

dunno how knowledged you are on hardstyle. Brennan heart has done a few anthems, One Blade is one of his best. also have a look at headhunterz. Both are very mainstream.

Zany is overated nowadays imo. All his live sets are just various mixes of Fusion of Sound, which was a pretty ave album (with some exceptions - Symphonic Feedback is immense). He is Q-dance's biggest money maker atm, will soon have come out to aus 3 times in two years. That is pretty rare for such a big name.

Damn i hope that NC will be headlining defqon

I'm a big fan of activator and zatox at the moment.

I thought widowmaker was AV though
