Broken Robot got off to a strong start in April, with both sides of their first release making the top 10 of Beatport’s breakbeat chart. Now they’re back with their second installment, and this one looks set to be even bigger!

BRR002 features VOLATILE: the debut single from Southampton’s FIREFARM. Fusing rocky guitars and a fat mid-tempo beat with impeccable production, this track hits the nail right on the head. The sound can best be described as a fusion of The Prodigy and Rage Against the Machine, with a healthy slice of Pendulum thrown in for good measure, and will appeal to everybody from dance-music heads to rockers and hip-hop fans alike.

On the flip, there’s a storming remix for those who prefer their breaks a bit faster, from none other than London’s all-star breakbeat trio PYRAMID. The vocal and synth hooks of the original are set to a frenetic breakbeat and a monstrous juggernaut of a bassline. There’s no messing around here: this track is pure dancefloor destruction! Both tracks will be available on 12” vinyl and as a digital download on Beatport from the 1st June 2009
