*EDIT + BUMP*

I didn't explain this mini-album right when I posted it, becasuse i was kind of angry/sad back then... but anyways, here is the introduction to this work

I started producing music in May 2007, thats exactly 2 years ago, so this little album is my way of celebrating these 2 years. it has been a lot of fun and I have learnt a lot, I also have had downs and moments I feel like quiting music, but I always return, and I hope I keep like that

this work is in a way very personal, as it express how i feel most of the time. I tried to stay away from the cheese and make some serious tracks, aiming for a melancholic and sad sound, but yet uplifting and hopeful

it also tells a side story of how robots and technological creations of humans take over the world and aniquilate human kind, because robots are the next step in natural evolution, so the only reason for human existence was to create the robots, and now that they are here, mankind is no longer necessary, so we can leave (die), and robots stablish a new and better civilization (but that will be another chapter)

acording to this, each track has a secondary name:

1. One song... - the hope
2. Sorrow - down
3. Synthetic life forms - taking over
4. Technology of nature - destruction
5. the light - our deppart

thats it, hope you like it :)

Listening to One Song.

stars out very nice then goes into this nice ambient kinda break which im a big fan of! Love the slightly harder sound, but it sounds kinda off key to me. I'm not sure if it's the detuned nature of the sound itself but doesnt quite fit in properly. other than that, it sounds very nice! It's a beautiful mix of ambient, breaks and hardcore though and thats a unique and fun mix. up to 3:00 minutes now and the bassline and the main synth seem to collide. again im not sure if it's a key but it doesnt sound 100% right to me.
Still in summary it's a nice song.

Sorrow

loving the kick build up already! Sounds very calm and peaceful going into the breakdown which sounds nicely executed. Into the main part and the song, despite it being the chorus(wrong terminology) and it still sounds very calm. production wise theres nothing wrong with this tune though it struggles to get the uplifting-liftoff that it could. Although I'm loving all the breakdowns and buildups. Sounds very nice indeed and has an '(ahh) desperation' feel to it :)

Synthetic Lifeforms

Liking this one, though that sound you use for the leads is a common one for you since reason doesnt have a great range. still great use of it! Love the melody as with all your songs.

Technology of nature

This is a bit harder! not sure on the reverb on the kick in the early part and it seems to choke out the lesser noices such as some bass and the lead noises. Though the melody is quite nice and it definatle y incorporates the harder techniques like at 3:50 where the sound smoothly enters the main melody. Lots of experimentation and different styles in this tune which I quite like to hear, though, again the main issue is the kick.

The Light

This sound very fast. Must about 200bpm? Sounds very frantic and exciting! Although I would have personally preferred at at the conventional 170-180bpm but I can still enjoy the unique ness that this possesses. at 2:38 the break down it lovely, as is the buildup.

Great batch here mate! Cant wait to hear more! Hope the feedback helps. took as long as the album to write it lol.

thanks Olly! great feedback :D

lol, I agree with most you have said, I guess after working so much in a project I tend to lose perspective of things, and bad details start to sound good LOL

I'll have all this in mind, thanks!

right whammoo have this downloaded..

sorrow is first up......really nice track...only thing i can really on is that maybe the bass is a tiny bit weak...build ups are nice...and the wee strings in the breakdowns r real nice

synthetic lifeforms..piano is really nice..i thing there is a note out on the string...just barely noticeable...aww i love theriff haha so busy and energetic...nice track

the light....wow its fast...the tempo isnt what im mad into...but i cant help thinking that at 180 this could really be a great track..the riff is nice(infact i really the riff) and pianos and pads are nice aswell..possibly the bass is a bit weak though..but great work overall

really nice to see 5 free tracks man....keep them coming lad
