Would it be possible to incorporate an image that lets you know when you have posted in a topic by showing it to the left of the topic title? It is used on other forums that i use and i find it much easier to track which topics i have been typing in because my memory is awful

That is a seriously heavy function for the database. The database would have to pull every topic and reply up on a list or search of forum topics to check if you have posted in it or keep track of any topic ID that you have posted in and match it, either way it's quite heavy on the database for the number of people that visit the site.
Can you list some of the sites that use it and I'll take a look at their implmentation / code (if public) and see how they are doing it.
