Event name: Twisted & Brainfire
Starts: March 13th, 2009
Country: United Kingdom
City/Region: Scotland

In October last year we returned to the capital and what a night it was. On Friday the 13th of March we return to a larger venue Stereo with a bigger and bolder lineup to do it all over again...

FRIDAY 13TH MARCH
TWISTED & BRAINFIRE
"FRIDAY THE 13TH"

@ STEREO, 28 King's Stables Road, Edinburgh
9pm - 3am
TICKETS: £12 in advance // Please buy early to avoid disappointment.

Over 1000 capacity

Area1: REACTOR
UK Hardcore / Oldskool / Hardstyle

SCOTT BROWN
(Evolution Records)
http://www.myspace.com/dj_scottbrown

Headlining the March edition of Twisted & Brainfire and making his long awaited, first club appearance in Edinburgh for many years is Scotland's undisputed king of the core, Dj / Production legend SCOTT BROWN. Scotsman Mr. Brown is the
man behind an enormous back catalogue of quality releases, anthems and remixes on a diverse selection of labels including All Around The World, Next Generation, Neophyte and Raverbaby as well his own imprints including Evolution,
Evolved, and Twisted Vinyl.
Scott who was the most important artist in the creation of the original bouncy techno sound with classic tracks like "Rock That Body", and "Now Is The Time", is also a modern hardcore hero with tracks such as “Boomstick”, "Elsyium",
"Neck breaker", "Turn Up The Music" and many more which have been key tracks in defining the modern UK Hardcore Sound. On the Gabber tip Scott has been responsible for many Gabber dance floor slammers including collaborations with
legends such as Neophyte and Darrien Kelly. Hardcore aside Scott is no stranger to chart success with his productions as Q-Tex and recent collaboration with Ultrabeat - "Elysium (When I Go Crazy)”. Scott's Dj diary keeps him busy
outside the studio with headline gigs at every major UK event as well as frequent visits to Australia, Holland, Russia and the USA.
At his first T&B Edinburgh appearance since 2000, Scott will be playing a set in both arenas. In the Reactor arena he will be playing his own brand of uplifting Evolution style dance floor fillers and of course a Dutch orientated gabber
set in the Darkside arena.

JOEY RIOT
(Lethal Theory / Hardcore Heaven)
http://www.myspace.com/joeyriotlethal

Joey Riot is a man who needs no introduction to the T&B faithful. Scotsman Joey burst on to the scene a few years ago. In a remarkably short space of time he put out releases on the likes of Quosh, Next Geneartion, Relentless etc. He
then launched the now massive Lethal Theory label with partner in crime Kurt. Joey landed himself a residency at the massive Slammin Vinyl / Hardcore Heaven events as well as mixed their last album and of course the new "Hardcore Nation
2009" album. Along the way Joey has also picked up various awards. Whether behind the decks or on the MIC, Joey always has the T&B dancefloor rocking. After rocking Edinburgh in October and being many people’s set of the night it would
be rude not to ask him back for this one.

MC STORM
(Hardcore Heaven / Raverbaby)
http://www.discogs.com/artist/MC+Storm

March will surprisingly only be MC Storm’s second T&B appearance and the first time the man has performed in Edinburgh. When Storm MC’d at reactor last year he absolutely blew the roof of the place. MC Storm aka Carl to his mum is the
most notorious Hardcore MC in the world. MC Storm has been voted by the majority of the UK's Hardcore raving population the number one Hardcore MC, for a record breaking 5 years in a row at the prestigious Hardcore Heaven awards. He
also has many releases on the likes of Raverbaby and Quosh aswell as album appearances with tracks like "Dark Live Vader", "**** You I'm famous" and "Just Accept It". Not only does Storm have a unique lyrical style he has a formidable
stage presence. For all those who appreciate their Hardcore with MCing you will love watching this man at work, for those that don’t, come and watch him and see how it is done properly.

Hardcore Techno / Gabber / Industrial / Hard D&B

ENZYME-X (NL)
(Enzyme Records)
DIRECT FROM THE NETHERLANDS
http://www.cardiacbookings.com/news.php?read=21

Enzyme X is the infamous, darker, harder and ground breaking sub-label of Dj Ruffnecks's mighty Enzyme Records and name of their mysterious Dj project. All releases on the label are not credited to give the producers more artistic
freedom but the all Dutch team of producers are Ruffneck, Endymion, Hamunaptra, Knightvision, Nosferatu, Meagashira, Mindustries, Ophidian and Sei2ure.

Enzyme started the unique Enzyme-X Dj/act concept which is consists of all these Djs. For each event the act consists of one of these names (or sometimes a combination of one or more artists) whom perform as Enzyme. The actual artist/s
will be revealed at the start of the performance. This means that no one (except the artist and their agency) knows who will be representing Enzyme X on Friday 13th March. This includes Twisted & Brainfire who can’t wait to find out on
the night. While which of the massive Dutch Dj’s above will perform as Enzyme-X will be a surprise, we are sure of one thing. The Dj will play in the style of the label, so expect a hard-hitting, dark Dutch hardcore set.

ELY MUFF LIVE
(One Inch Punch / Deadpig)
http://www.myspace.com/elymuff

Ely Muff made his Scottish debut at T&B in 2006, and has since become a popular live artist north of the border in the underground Hardcore scene. Muff who hails from London and is an active member in the illegal rave scene, is a
Hardcore/Breakcore producer and live artist with tracks on Deathchant, Headfuk, Pacemaker, Sensory Violation and his own labels One Inch Punch, Midi Fiddler and Dead Pig. Muff's unique style of Hardcore mashes up No-nonsense Kick's and
Breakbeats with
nonsensical samples. Muff is an ideal choice for our Darkside room.

AUTOPSY LIVE
(Deathchant / Audio Damage)
http://www.myspace.com/jay_autopsy

Autopsy is a UK Hardcore Techno and evil electronics project started by Jake Hallett in 1998. Currently he has notched up an impressive resume of releases on labels such Neurotoxic, Deathchant and Absurd Audio as well as his own label
Audio Damage Records. Autopsy's compositions are a blend of dance floor hardcore and dark drum and bass at varying speeds although he also strays into breakcore and other forms of hard electronic dance music. Jay's live performances
have taken him to many of the UKs finest events as well as Holland, Switzerland and Belgium. Twisted & Brainfire is excited about having Autopsy back in the house! Edinburgh be ready.
