He's never been good. There are limited tracks of his which are decent. If you're refering to his Bonkers mixes, then yes, spot on, excellent! But this is only his selection of tracks, his personal batch are weak.
Track 6 on his mix, Guiding Light i think, personally it is OK but i have a feeling that is Hixxy singing, so where has he been hiding???!!! Those are some belting chords!
init man Toytown was the worst tune ever !

I think Vinylgroover's remix of it is pretty damn good.

I didn't much care for the original, but the vocal remix was better!

There are so many different opinions in this thread that I thought I'd share mine.
I have only listened to the first cd, and there were some good tracks on there that I liked. But what tha fook is up with the mixes. I did read a previous post were someone stated that the commercial albums arn't mixed on decks. When it says "mixed by ds" and "mixed by breeze" I expect it to have some proper mixes in there. What the so called dj's on the album are doing is just hitting play and pause.
But what really dissapointed me was the first track that played - discolights. Mood killer. As the cd played I did find some tracks that I enjoyed though. So here's the ones on darren styles so called "mix" that I liked:
Styles & Breeze - Amigos
DJ Fear - First Serve (Dougal & Gams mix)
United In Dance - The Horns of Jericho (Dougal & Gams mix)
Azura - The Heartache
Shait, quite alright

Just listened to the clips on Juno....... Suprise suprise, i hate it. Every track sounds exactly the same either same old trancey nonsense Electro bleepiness or tracks in a Discolights/Basshunter style. Christ i've just wasted 15 minutes of my life listening to this. Wasn't expecting anything good with this album and it's actually managed not to live up to those expectations. Genuinely didn't like any more than one or two tracks track and only about five were listenable.
What's with the non-existent mixing? I know it's supposed to be a showcase of "teh sick HaRdCoRe tunes" but come on where's the skill in this stop-start, flick the fader approach?
Some proper cringe-worthy tracks on this; Amigos forever, Sorry and Welcome To The Club for example, i was actually embarrassed listening to this CD and i was home alone. Oh and WTF is Darwin doing on this? Oh my word this is a dark day for hardcore .
I gave this a shot, and feel a fool for doing so. Think that's me done with the CLXH series, and maybe even AATW, for good now. Just have to hope and pray they show mercy on the Bonkers series. I suppose i best just mention: this is all just my opinion, i'm not stating it as fact. Thank you and goodnight.
