OK we have all seen 'put a donk on it' and 'bounce' but i thought id just let you know what Blackout Crew are 'traditionally' all about (before they started making cheesy tracks).

Got to: http://www.myspace.com/blackoutcrewmcs

and watch the fourth video down in the left hand column ( the one underneath the picture of a guy dressed as a monkey in a tree)

Basically its blackout at the studio which they use at the local youth club recording Blackout 33 CD. I just dont think they should be judged on a cheesy AATW track, they should be judged on actual MCing.

So ava watch and say what you think (really like to hear the MCs of the forum voice an opinion)

For reference:
Zak K (The very first MC)
Rapid MC (The guy with him in black)
Cover (the 3rd guy wearing beige)
Monson (the next guy with the adiddas zip up) (not strictly part of blackout)
Kingy (black nike air t-shirt, not part of blackout)
Dowie MC (in the white jacket)
Dubble MC (with the blue and blonde srtipe in his hair)

The DJs are Siddy B and then Saha

its worth a watch, just to see what they do in the studio and how they all work and blend together (you can tell that they have been together a long time cause of the way that Kingy isnt on the same wavelength as the others)

I reckon Kingy and Dowie are the best tho

So what you're saying is they're sellouts.

I now have less respect for them than ever, thanks.

haha well not really, the guys who run the youth club are producers, so they got blackout to MC on some tracks because they got pretty famous up here, and the first few tracks were crap! but then they got a bit better until AATW wanted to sign one. but what Im saying is that they didnt used to make tracks, they did that cause the owners of the youth club asked them, and anyway, as if you would say no to making a track

Kinda up for one Donk set a night, early on to get the place moving. Also they are a couple of MC's who can nearly rap ( a bit rare for the UK ).

Don't really see the sellout angle, just been offered a chance to do some tracks and maybe make a bit of money. No worse than Prodigy or Styles. Good luck to em.

I also think putta donk on it is funny, shows how easy it is to make donk, if all they could do was put out one sound at least the compensate with a few lyrics. Prefer to listen to them or Love shy rather than Katie Perry or American boy one more soddin time.
