1. Hardcore
2. Torch Songs (Jazz)
3. Ska
Punk- Black Flag!
bob marley didn't write a ska song and he wasn't a ska artist. artists like the specials wrote ska, bob marley wrote reggae

bob marley and the wailers "covered" a song into a skalike wannabe but they never once wrote a single ska song being that they are two different types of music.
reggae was around a lot longer than ska.
read a book before you open the mouth, there are people out there that are more knowledgeable on certain subjects than you may be.
you see, not all of us depend on happy hardcore to fill our musical tastes, happy hardcore constitutes for about 2% of my musical knowledge and library.
Next.

Chill Dawg, I know a Reggae drum player and he has no doubt that The early Bob Marley is what was Ska! Come to Chicago, I'll show who owns "Wild Hare" Nightclub (Bob Marley's Son, Ziggy!)!

Sorry, Bobby, this is a silly argument! I'm just an expert on Ska! Punk Ska, too! But I listen to the really Underground shit because I listen to College Radio (NWU, WNUR; Experimental Radio)!

Real Big Fish are pretty good, try listening to some Save Ferris stuff too.
Also, one of my favs is The Goops - Build Me Up, Butter Cup although not really Ska Punk sounding it's pretty damn good.

Nofx Actually have some real good ska songs (though mostly punk). Cherry Poppin Daddies are really good but I think they do more swing atm. But What everyone should give a try is the HIPPOS (my personal fav), to bad they dont do stuff no more. Also Tim Armstrong did a solo album witch is Regge and Ska!!!!! Imagine That!?!?!?!
