dunno if someone has already said this, but if radio shows were implemented that would rock. Different hhc.com members could host their own hour long radio show through the site radio on different days at different times. The better slots of course goto the more popular radio shows. If there isn't a mix, you could have the current mixes playing.

Streaming a little hard right now cause the site generates alot of bandwidth and bandwidth is not free ... if the DJ's were willing and chipped in for the streaming costs it might work.

there's always shoutcast, perhaps the dj could relay the broadcast to your server so you can get loads of listeners at once if that'll work?
so basically,if you put a shoutcast server onto the happyhardcore.com server, then i was to type in the ip of it,it should send my stream to your server and people tune in by opening your location? might work but i never tried it. if it does, the only disadvantage there is that people can only listen through winamp (i think)

Like I said, bandwidth is not free, shoutcast uses a massive amount of bandwidth, so I would still need DJ's to chip in.

would it be possible to get promoters to advertise??? like between sets have a few advertisements for parties / cd's etc.... for example if DJ X wanted to advertise to sell a mix cd then he/she could pay to advertise it.
i don't think it would be a problem to get dj's to chuck in to play. say a dj could pay a monthly fee and get to play 4 shows in that month or something, before long you'd have a nice little radio stream running. personally i think it's about time that this community starts getting behind silver and actually put our own hands in our pockets to benefit all of us, don't we think?
how much do you think something like this would cost silver?
drugs is not the answer... drugs? is the question... yes is the answer

Sure if you can find a promotor willing to pay then thats cool... I could not tell how much it would cost at this point, it would depend of how popular the streams were... anywhere between 100 US dollars and 2000 US dollars a month would probally be a close ball park...

you don't even need to do that really. i can get access to a 1mbit connection and relay a broadcast to that pc,get up to 46 listeners and doesn't cost a penny. so i relay a broadcast, then someone else relays it,then someone else,we got a happy hardcore radio show for nothing :)
EDIT: damn i sound like a cheap skate don't i? lol

hehe, string together servers, that would work really good. set a maximum amount of listeners on the main server or only use it as the host server and they need to tune into the other stations. woudl be fun =) silver could decide the lineup and who gets what time slots based on popularity.

At the moment I would not have time to admin a string together system, if one of the servers went down then I would have to find it and fix it, that is time I don't have, if you want this to work I would have to pay for the service so that if it breaks it's someone elses problem to fix and it doesn't take up my time.

Buy more T-shirts and stuff :)
Not sure... I don't want to put a donation thing there, that would look stupid I think... I am working on a few more things to sell from the site so that I can get some income, this site costs me big bucks to run actually :(

Live 365 isnt that muich a month is it , as long as you claim its not for corporate use, i thought it was something in the region of $20 or such (althought i havnt been on there for a while) and im sure they could have turned from being nice free streams to corperate cock sucking bastards :)

Yeah but it's streaming from the US and you have to basically use their players now, and get swapped with banner ads, still not too bad I guess, but I get enough banners from the HappyHardcore.DJ free email service :)

Ok I was waiting for the new rates to come out, the prices are not that good but again they are also not that bad for live365... so I am looking for "a few good DJ's" ....
Firstly, due to the amount of space I will need to fill I really need DJ's that have access to alot of records... meaning I don't want you playing the same 30 records every week.
Requirements:
1. Record and submit a 2 hour radio show once a week to HappyHardcore.com in the format spefified later.
2. Do it every week, miss two weeks in a row and you will get canned.
3. You have to be somewhat good at DJing, sorry I have to be tough here but it will raise everyone's standards I hope.
4. You have to play in or around HappyHardcore (no hiphop here please).
5. You will not get paid for it, but you can talk about within reason anything you want to talk about and have a "large" listenership.
6. You need to know how to record your mixes onto computer and upload them.
7. Sorry no live streaming for now ... perhaps when we get some sort of budget we can do it.
8. You have to submit a track / play list.
9. This is open to DJ's and producers, BUT you CAN NOT play 100% new unreleased material if you new producer (cause no one will be able to buy your stuff for a very long time).
Interested, email me [email protected]
