The new bonkers is a damn fine compilation, alright, but I would have liked it if Sy had used new material instead of a old skool mix, because they might as well release a old school bonkers anyway. It was a good old skool mix, though, don't get me wrong.
I hope Scott Brown gets to do a mix for bonkers in the future though, like some rumours have suggested.

But what don't get is it seems that Scott Browns Gang Bang Society is slightly different on Bonkers 8 to his albums, but it doesn't say its a remix :/
You can't buy these anymore but there is a Bonkers Discography you can download on the internet somewhere, its awesome :)

You can buy them if you look around. Not sure why you dragged a post probably older then some members on here to mention that.
On another note, I won this album in a competition, I think from this very website. Around the exact same time I won a copy of "Masters of Hardcore", from USH.net as well. Happy days!

I believe a few tracks gets remastered before they get releases as singles, either because they where unfinished or the producer thought it didn't sound proper. It happened to Rush-Ins, which IMO sounded better without russian cosmonaut voice on it.
And.. 2002? I thought Bonkers 8 was released earlier :P
Also DJ B Bass. if you can find the bonkers discography online, it's probably illegal as only one or 2 bonkers where released digitally, and mixed at that.

Yeah this was out 2002.
Can't believe Bonkers XI was released 10 years ago now! Only seems about 5 or 6 years! What an album (as was Bonkers 8). XI was of course released around the same time as Matrix Revolutions.

I won Masters Of Hardcore from here. Good release! 2002 was such a good time for Hardcore.

What made you think that? Bonkers 8 was when the genre started to pick up again in a mid way, which definitely wasn't 2001!
Incidentally i bought it on the day of release although it wasn't intentional. I just happened to be in town on that day and buy it (although i knew it was being released that day).

The Styles and Breeze CD was sooooo slow though, like the tunes were all played at 0% pitch (I know it's a strange thing to complain about especially with hardcore) but when you listened to the Sy & Unknown mix, and other mixes and sets from the time you could really feel the difference in tempo.
Still it was easily my most listened to mix of the time, the tunes on it were (for the time) just unreal, and my dads car stereo took a right caning off this CD. Black Magic Bad Magic, Chemical Love and You're Shining were my favourites. Hardcore was massive again and I thought it would never end. They were happy days.
