A mad weekend and a cruise through di.fm lead me to this absolutely crazy genre of music.
Thought speedcore, breakcore etc was off the rails and mad for structure til i heard this, cant say i understand it at all but it's amazing.
2 videos of a boy Cecil Taylor playin the maddest piano i've ever seen. If you have a passion for seriously f*cked up music should definitely give it a try.

ahhh this shizzle is Sexy as man!
All about the Mr Lyons on the ivories!
Ultra talent - takes a massive amount of understanding to truly appreciate this style though. i can well see many heads on here being very much confused by the movements of these pioneers!
Listen hard people, and bear with us! its very tasteful but you gotta give it a chance! (N.B. particular situations may aide this process...)

http://www.sky.fm/jazz/ there go bulby mate, radio stations a bit hit and miss but when it's good it's unbelievable. Sometimes is pretty civilised then other times goes into the mad experimental side. Defo check out the vids posted though as it's great to see what there doing and have not heard anything as musically good yet from the radio site. Some of the stuff played on the radio was jus unbelievable, pretty much jus random instruments goin wild. My mate described it as "like the school band bein kicked down the stairs." psychedelic sunday + free jazz =

Haha. 8-) Wicked stuff mate, I'll check the videos first. Love random music and you don't often here it out of electronic stuff so this should be interesting. "like the school band bein kicked down the stairs."

I love Ornette Coleman, and "Machine Gun" by Peter Brotzmann is one of the weirdest, wildest pieces of jazz/noise I've ever heard. Other than that, I don't know much about free jazz, but I'm sure I will soon enough.
