Why are the tracks off Hard House cd mixes so short?

Because they've been mixed or they're radio edits.

No, I mean why it is that they put like 40-50 tracks on 1 disc? No other dance music genre just has 00:40-1:30 of playtime on cd mixes. I dont think Hard House, like the old 90s Chicago sound, was made into radio edits because its just loud hoovers and other loud noises looped over & over.

have you listened to most hard house tunes by themselves? they get redundant very quickly hence; quick mixes to keep it interesting. most hard/booty/ghetto house is slam mixed.

and as far as no other genre mixing cds with ~1:30 per track, see thunderdome megamixes
