Just out of interest how many of you UK Hardcore fans like the Rave Breaks mix or does it put you off buying the compilation?

The Rave Breaks mixes are usually the reason why i buy these CD's , cause the Hardcore CD's generally are average.
But then i grew up listening to old skool, drum n bass etc etc through the early 90's so it's all good for me.
People that have only got into Hardcore in the last few years, dont really appreciate the CD.

I absolutely love nuskool breaks but "rave breaks" is pretty much just oldskool rips done in a watered down nuskool breaks style... One or two decent tunes in the mixes and a load of remixed, watered down, average averageness. Meh.
I bought the first two but the series hasn't been special enough to make me buy this one and the tracklist hasn't persuaded me otherwise. Even more stupid amounts of anthem remixes and the DnB mix is about as unexciting as it can get. :s

Must agree with dj_switchback that the "Rave Breaks" CD is the only CD that interests me to buy. Hardcore 2007 impressed me very much with the mix of remixed classics and new tracks really appealed to me.

I really don't like the rave breaks Cds, they ruin the originals, I really don't see the point of a 3rd CD on the series! the first time they did one fair enough, try somethng different, then they did it again and I thought its more samples, and now a third one with just more samples, but BDB says they are trying something different again?

Its interesting to hear that there are some fans of the Rave Breaks scene. My primary interest being Hardcore Breaks & Old Skool Hardcore I mainly hear negative comments about the Rave Breaks tracks being weak remixes of classics tracks.

Are you serious? There is a new version of this every year and it's never interesting to hear them. :P

Yeah the original is WKD. don't make the mistake I made and ruin it for yourself by listening to the countless pointless rmxs.
