Hm, I'd imagine whistles would be less annoying during a hardtek set, considering there's no melody being destroyed.

Yeah that's hardtek... Not to be confused with hard techno or hardcore techno, three different things.

You can't really hear melodies in a rave that well anyway, and since the music is so loud, whistles don't stop you from hearing the music any less clearly anyway :P

You can if there is decent speakers :). Something most UK hardcore raves seemed to drop years ago to make themselves some extra cash...
